A lot of und lots of haben mehr oder weniger die gleiche Bedeutung: sie bedeuten beide eine große Anzahl oder Menge von etwas.

A lot of oder lots of werden beide vor zählbaren und unzähligen Substantiven verwendet.

  • There was a lot of rain last month. (rain = nicht zählbar)
  • There were a lot of people at the beach. (people = zählbar / plural)
