Temporale Konjunktion

Mit der temporalen Konjunktion wird ein Zeitraum und Zeitpunkt angegeben.

  • after = nach
  • as = als, während
  • as long as = so lange
  • as often as = so oft
  • as soon as = so bald als
  • before = bevor
  • now = nun
  • once = sobald
  • since = seit
  • untill = bis
  • when = wenn
  • while = während
  • whenever = immer wen
While I was preparing breakfast, my cat jumped out of the window.
As long as I do my homework, my mom is happy with me.
My girl friend doesn't let me go out as long as I want to.
Come over whenever you need my help.

 

 

Finale Konjunktion

Mit der finalen Konjunktion wird eine Absicht ausgedrückt.

  • in case = falls
  • in order that = so daß
  • so that = so daß
  • that = so daß
I study a lot so that I can go to university.

Kausale Konjunktion

Mit der kausale Konjunktion wird die Ursache oder der Grund angegeben.

  • as = da, weil
  • because = da, weil
  • for = da, weil

Since I have done my homework, I can now play outside.
Since he woke up late, he missed the train.

 

 

Konsekutive Konjunktion

Mit der konsekutiven Konjunktion wird eine Folge angegeben.

  • so (that) = so
  • that = so daß
  • therefore = deshalb, folglich
I had no breakfast in the morning and therefore ate a big steak for lunch.

 

 

Konzessive Konjunktion

Mit der konzessive Konjunktion wird ein Zugeständnis angegeben.

  • although = obwohl
  • as = obwohl
  • even if = selbst wenn
  • however = jedoch
  • though = obwohl
Although I had no breakfast, I was still able to work fine.

 

Konditionale Konjunktion

Mit der konditionale Konjunktion wird eine Bedingung angegeben.

  • as long as = vorausgesetzt das
  • if = wenn
  • in case = im Falle daß
  • provided that = vorausgesetzt daß
  • unless = wenn nicht
If I finish my homework, I will come over.
You can go party as long as you have finished your homework.

 

 

Modale Konjunktion

Mit der modalen Konjunktion wird die Art und Weise angegeben.

  • for = dafür
  • with = mit
  • without = ohne daß
He came home without his shoes.

 

 

Adversative Konjunktion

Mit der adversativen Konjunktion wird ein Gegensatz angegeben.

  • but = aber
  • however = dennoch
  • whereas = während
  • while = während
  • yet = dennoch
He likes movies but only Sci-Fi movies.
They are a good team while there is still a lot of potential.
Even though I helped her, she was still angry with me.
Whereas John left, his friends stayed.

 

 

Vergleichende Konjunktion

Mit der vergleichenden Konjunktion wird ein Vergleich angegeben.

  • as = wie, so wie
  • as ... as = so ... wie
  • as if = als ob
  • like = so
  • than = als
John cried like a baby.
I am taller than you.

 

 

Anreihende Konjunktion

Mit der anreihenden Konjunktion werden zwei Satzteile verbunden.

  • also = auch
  • and = und 
  • as well as = so wie
  • both ... and = sowohl .. als auch
  • either ... or = entweder ... oder
  • neither ... nor = weder ... noch
  • not only ... but also = nicht nur ... sondern auch
  • or = oder
